- Wade the calm, shallow waters of Shell Bay beach
- Pull on a wetsuit and take to the waves at some favorite surfer spots known as ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’
- Cast off and do some sea fishing while watching the ships go by
- Take a swing at the on site 9-hole golf course
- Buy some ‘snoek’, a fish caught in the cold waters of the Western Cape, straight off the boats in the harbour in winter

- Take a walk on the beach, at sunrise or sunset in particular to appreciate the incredible natural light reflecting off the ocean
- See the seasonal explosion of wild flower colour from July to September
- Discover the ancient fossils of extinct creatures such as sabre-tooth cats and short-necked giraffes at the nearby Fossil Park
- Do bird watching at Rocherpan Nature Reserve and spot some of the 183 species of birds including South Africa’s second rarest coastal bird, the African Black Oystercatcher
- See whales, dolphins, seals and migratory birdlife while relaxing on your Balcony or enjoy the sundeck and swimming pool
